It’s summertime!
For us that means swimming lessons, playing outside whether it’s hot or not (It is!), splashing in the pool, later bedtimes and a generally more laid back day to day routine despite the necessity to get some actual work done.
I’ve had to reel MYSELF in lately on the late bedtime. I have had to accept the fact that no matter what time I go to sleep, my little alarm clocks (the two that have rooms down the hall) get up at the same time each morning no matter what. For some reason they are not interested in what time I went to bed.
My guess is that we will probably adjust to summertime some time right near the beginning of the fall!
So, for those of you who have been wondering what we’re doing over here… we’re still working. We’re just doing a whole lot of playing too!
Stay cool, my friends! 😉
What does your family do to keep cool and have fun in the summer?

Oh this brings back such great memories of days at the pool with my kids. We would meet up with friends, get a treat at the snack bar, and just while away the hot afternoons. We ALL slept well after those days!

We eat strawberry shortcake for dinner. All we want. Once. And because we live in Texas, watermelon is for dinner in the summer. Often.
Courtney, your blog is wonderful. I’m going to check out your Etsy store.
