Maybe you’ve heard it said that things have to get worse before they get better? Well that was surely the truth for us in remodeling our new (old) home. Standing in the way of our new design were lots of things that had to be taken out.
Like the kitchen cabinets…
And the entire upstairs bathroom…
And several walls…
And a big section of flooring…
And the front door…
And pretty much the entire back of the house…
Whew.
Looks like a piece of cake in these pictures, but this was days and days of hard, hot labor in the August heat.
But we got it done.
And to many people who came and visited our job site, this is the point at which they thought we were
A) crazy or
B) had totally destroyed this house
We told them to fear not, we are professionals.
We think.
Plus, what could possibly go wrong when you have this guy…
…and this little chick around?
One highlight was getting to design, engineer, build and use this nifty trash chute to cut down on the trips up and down the stairs.
