Last weekend we participated in Vintage Market Days at Southfork Ranch in Parker, TX. Let’s Recap.
In a word, WOW!
The event was like nothing we’d ever been a part of. The grounds were set up with two large tents down the center of the area where the market took place. They were overflowing with wonderful finds from vendors from all over. All around the perimeter of the large tents were rows of smaller tents where vendors were set up with their goodies as well. The event was large, but not overly huge. Plenty to see (and BUY), but not so big that you couldn’t see it all. Just perfect if you ask me.
Next time I will take more pictures of the actual event.( Translation: Next time I will be prepared for the fact that there is no time to take pictures and plan accordingly.) We did good to get to run for a potty break here and there. Thankfully, we know ourselves well (i.e. we get hangry) and packed plenty of meals and snacks each day. There definitely wasn’t time to stand in the food lines (even though the food looked delicious). I did find a spare minute or two on Friday to have a delicious cupcake from the cutest pink cupcake trailer you’ve ever seen. Because I mean really, who doesn’t have time for that?!?!
I failed at taking photos of the event itself, but Zack was awesome and snapped quite a few of our little set up before the masses rolled in.
In the coming weeks, I plan to write individual posts about several of the pieces we took to the market.
The story of our farm tables (and of the wonderful people they’ve already led us to) is coming as well.
If you came, we’re so glad. If you didn’t, well… we missed you! And we better see you in November at the next one! We are already brimming over with ideas set in a Christmas wonderland for that one! It will be here before we know it.
Have questions or need info on any of the pieces (large or small) you see here? Get in touch!
